How do I link or unlink a Practitioner?

Question

How do I link a practitioner? And how do I unlink it if I've made a mistake?

 

Solution

In order to display available appointments online for your practitioners, it is necessary that a link is established between each HotDoc practitioner profile your practice management system.

 

Follow the steps below to link or unlink your HotDoc practitioner:

  1. Log into your Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Bookings > Practitioner setup > click Edit on the practitioner profile you wish to link:

    If you need to create a new practitioner profile, please see: How to add or edit a Practitioner

  3. Under the field Link to [your clinical software] s elect the corresponding practitioner from the drop down menu:

    Please note: for a practitioner to appear in the drop down menu, they must have sessions set up in your Practice Management System, and may also require a future-dated appointment in their schedule. Please see this support page for more information on practitioner session setup.

     

      

  4. If you've made a mistake and wish to remove this link, Click on the X next to the linked practitioner:

  5. Make a new link selection, or keep the profile unlinked. Press the green Save button to save your changes:
