The GP Urgent Care Network Pilot is a joint partnership between the Department of Health (Western Australia) and the WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA).
If your practice is one of the selected practices participating in the GP Urgent Care Pilot, you will need to configure an Urgent Care Appointment Type to start accepting these types of appointments online.

Configure your 'Urgent Care' Appointments
- From the HotDoc Dashboard, add a new appointment type called 'Urgent Care'.
- Configure the Appointment Type to accept both new and existing patients. You can also add Terms and Conditions if required.
- Link the appointment type for new and existing patients to the applicable appointment type in your clinical software.
- Select the practitioners that will be accepting online bookings for the Urgent Care, ensuring that you enable both Existing and New patients
- Click SAVE.

Activating the 'Urgent Care' Appointment Type to be listed on HealthDirect
In order for your clinic to appear on the Government's HealthDirect listing, the HotDoc Support team will need to activate your Urgent Care appointment for you.
