Requirements for accessing the Dashboard
To access the Dashboard, you'll need:
- A supported internet browser
- An internet connection
- The email address and password for a clinic user account with Dashboard access permissions
For best performance, HotDoc recommends using:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
Internet Explorer is not supported.
Opening the HotDoc Dashboard
There are two ways to access the Dashboard.
Option 1 – Open Dashboard directly in your browser
- Go to: https://www.hotdoc.com.au/dashboard/#/login
- Enter your Dashboard email address and password.

Click Log in.

The Dashboard homepage will open.
Option 2 – Open Dashboard from the HotDoc Sidebar
| If your practice does not use the HotDoc Sidebar, or your user account is Dashboard-only, please use Option 1. |
- Open the HotDoc Sidebar on your computer.

Select Open Dashboard.

Having trouble accessing the Dashboard?
If the Dashboard is not loading or working as expected, try the following:
- Refresh the page
- Open the Dashboard in Google Chrome
- Open an incognito/private browser window
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Restart your browser

What's the difference between the Dashboard and Sidebar?

The Dashboard is a web-based portal that is used to manage HotDoc settings and configuration.
The Sidebar is HotDoc's appointment management interface used alongside your Practice Management System for day-to-day tasks.
Some clinics use the desktop Sidebar application, while others use the web-based Sidebar.
What should I do if my Dashboard looks empty?

If your Dashboard appears empty, your clinic user account may not have the correct access permissions enabled.
If you have Sidebar only access, you will see the following banner:
If you have Practitioner Sidebar access, there won't be a banner:
You will still be able to:
- Submit an enquiry to our Support team
- Start a live chat
- Access the Support Centre

When accessing the Dashboard from the HotDoc Sidebar, why am I getting an error that my browser is not supported?

This can happen when your device's default browser is set to Internet Explorer, which HotDoc does not support.
You can update your default browser by following these steps: Change Default Apps in Windows.
We recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
What should I do if I've tried everything but it's still not working?

If you're unable to access the Dashboard after following the steps above, contact the HotDoc Support Team and include:
- A screenshot of the issue
- Any error messages displayed
- The browser you're using
