A patient does not want to pay for their appointment via HotDoc but their appointment is getting cancelled due to the Auto Cancel Appts setting. How can I cancel the request for payment without cancelling the appointment?

Solution

You can cancel a request for payment, without cancelling the patient's appointment, in the Dashboard:

1. In your HotDoc Dashboard, head to Payments > Booking Activity > All then locate the patient's appointment.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the Cancel button next to their appointment. 
   
   
   
   
3. You will then be asked to confirm that you wish to cancel the funds. Select Yes, Cancel to continue:
   
   
   
   
4. The appointment will still remain in your appointment book but the request for payment will be cancelled. The patient can then pay for their appointment directly at the clinic.
