How do I action a Recall/Result with the status To action: Patient has appointment?
Solution
When a Recall/Result is in the status To action: Patient has appointment, you will need to either link a patient's upcoming appointment to the recall or resume recalling the patient. A Recall/Result will end up in this status when:
- The recall template is set to stop when the patient has an upcoming appointment and;
- The patient has an upcoming appointment which does not match the linked appointment type in the template:

Patient has 1 upcoming appointment
- Click on the recall to open the Recall/Result Details page.
- Review the details of the upcoming appointment in the the blue information box:
- If the booked appointment type is relevant to the recall reason, click Link Appointment.
- If you would like to dismiss the upcoming appointment and continue recalling the patient until they book a more appropriate appointment type, click Resume Recall.
- If the booked appointment type is relevant to the recall reason, click Link Appointment.
- The recall will update to the status In progress.
Patient has multiple upcoming appointments
- Click on the recall to open the Recall/Result Details page.
- The blue information box will indicate that the patient has multiple upcoming appointment so click Choose Appointment To Link.
- Review the patients upcoming appointments:
- If one of the booked appointment types is relevant to the recall reason, click Link next to the relevant appointment.
- If you would like to dismiss all upcoming appointments and continue recalling the patient until they book a more appropriate appointment type, click Resume Recall.
- If one of the booked appointment types is relevant to the recall reason, click Link next to the relevant appointment.
- The recall will update to the status In progress.
