This article explains how you can search and view patient details in the Patients section of the HotDoc Dashboard. Here you'll be able to see the patient's appointment history, consent preferences and other patient activity.

How to search for patient details
- Log into the HotDoc Dashboard and go to Patients > Patient Search:
- Type in a patient's first name, last name, mobile or home phone and click Search. In the list of results, click View next to the appropriate patient:

At a glance, you can see the Patient Details or click a tab to see:

Consent

Manage a patient's consent by checking the boxes next to Reminders, Recalls and Results, and Health information:

Appointment History
- Shows all the patient's appointments, including ones booked via HotDoc as well as any made directly in your appointment book.
- Appointment Status refers to the patient arrival status as set in your practice software. This includes cancelled appointments.

Click the drop down arrow on the left for more details, including last updated, date cancelled, or who the appointment was booked by.

Payment History
- If you're using HotDoc Payments, this will show you any of the patient's payment requests or transactions.
- If you're using HotDoc Payments, this will show you any of the patient's payment requests or transactions.

Patient Activity
- A log of changes to the patient's consent preferences.
- A log of changes to the patient's consent preferences.

Form Submissions

If you're using HotDoc Forms, this will show you any of the patient's form submissions.

Appointment History

A list of the patient's appointments. This includes:
- Imported appointments from your software (if applicable)
- Appointments booked by the patient via HotDoc
- Appointments made by the practice team in the HotDoc Calendar
- The Appointment Status reflects what is set in the Calendar. This also includes cancelled appointments.
- Click the drop down arrow on the left for more details, including last updated, date cancelled, or who the appointment was booked by.

Click View in Calendar to be taken to the appointment in the HotDoc Calendar.
