How do I prevent new patients from calling the practice to book an appointment with a practitioner when they do not take on new patients?
Within the Practitioner Setup in your HotDoc Dashboard, you can edit your settings so that new patients will not be told to call your practice if a practitioner does not accept new patients online. To do this:
- Login to your Dashboard, then go to Bookings > Practitioner Setup and select Edit next to the Practitioner's name:
- Scroll down the Online Bookings Settings and ensure the box next to Tell new patients to call the practice to book is deselected, then click Save:
- When a patient tries to book an appointment online with this practitioner and selects they are a new patient to your practice, they will see the practitioner does not take on new patients as below:
If you do not see the Tell new patients to call the practice to book field, it is due to the box next to Accept Online Bookings for new patients being checked - Deselect this box for it to appear like below:
When Accepting Online Bookings for new patients is deselected, tell new patients to call the practice to book appears.
