When HotDoc performs an automatic action such as sending out a Recall SMN or Push Notification, or if the patient performs an action such as reading the Recall SMN or Push Notification, we will keep an audit of this action by writing back a note to the patient's clinical record.

In Best Practice, clinical reminder notes are entered here:
- Patient file > 'Past visits' > Uncheck the 'Hide non visits' checkbox and a list will show.
- Double click on an entry to see the full detail:
Please note: If the recall or result was sent to the patient via a push notification, this will be entered into the patient file as: SMN1 sent to patient via push notification
- We will write back all contact attempts, actions taken in the Dashboard, as well as when the patient verifies their identity and views the message. In the Patient File > Go to Past Visits (make sure Hide non visits is unticked).
Please note: Notes will be written back as a 'non visit' or '3rd party' for clinics on BP Jade:
