When HotDoc performs an automatic action such as sending out a Recall SMN or Push Notification, or if the patient performs an action such as reading the Recall SMN or Push Notification, we will keep an audit of this action by writing back a note to the patient's clinical record. How to find Clinical Reminder notes in the patient file
In Best Practice, clinical reminder notes are entered here:

Patient file > 'Past visits' > Uncheck the 'Hide non visits' checkbox and a list will show.
Please note: Notes will be written back as a 'non visit' or '3rd party' for clinics on BP Jade:

How to find Results notes in the patient file
- We will write back all contact attempts, actions taken in the Dashboard, as well as when the patient verifies their identity and views the message. In the Patient File > Go to Past Visits (make sure Hide non visits is unticked).

Patient Record > Recalls:

Tick the Include completed and deleted recalls checkbox

Click on individual recall to see the notes. This should be written back to the history section of the Recall, located at the bottom of the recall page:

If a contact attempt has been made, you will see a Yes in the Contact Attempt column:

Results
In Medical Director, Results notes are entered here:

Recalls
To view the note in Zedmed, follow the steps below:
- In Zedmed, in the Patient record, click into Clinical Records > Open Patient > Patient > Reference view at the bottom left then click the tool icon:

This will open up Recall Property > Recall Notes where you can view the HotDoc note:

To view the note in Optomate, please follow the steps below:

- Open Patients

Open the patient file by double clicking on their name.
- Click Notes.
- You can see the full detail of the note from here including the date and time.
