How do I link or unlink an appointment type in my HotDoc Dashboard, to an appointment type in my Practice Management Software (PMS)? 

Solution

You can link the appointment types set up on your Dashboard to specific appointment types that you have in your Practice Management software.

This allows HotDoc to put these appointment types into your book when patients make online bookings.

If your appointment book is colour-coded by appointment type, you will no longer need to manually change online bookings to fit your colour scheme. To use this feature, please follow the instructions below

1. Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard here.
   
   
2. Go to Bookings > Appointment Types and click Edit next to the appointment type that you would like to link/unlink:
   
   
   
   
3. To link an appointment type:
   • Scroll down to the section titled Link to X Appointment Type. Click the drop down menu to select an appointment type in your clinical software to link it to your HotDoc appointment type:
     
     
     
     
4. To unlink an appointment type: 
   • Scroll down to the section titled Link to X Appointment Type. Click the X next to the clinical software appointment type:
     
     
     
5. Click Save to save your changes:
