'Results: No action' template settings
Once you've enabled the No Action Results feature, you can review and edit your 'Results: No action' template settings in the HotDoc Dashboard via Recalls > Template Groups > Results templates > Edit Results: No action
The 'Results: No action' template is slightly different to your other Recall/Results templates. You may notice that:
|
Template Name
This is the name of the template and the action that the patient will see when they open their No Action Result message, we recommend leaving this as 'Result: No action'.
Reminder Message
This is the message the patient will be shown when they open their No Action Result SMN.
This setting is exclusive to the 'Results: No action' template and helps to prevent messages from sending for older tests. This will be set to 14 days by default.
|
If a No Action Result message was unable send because results were not returned or checked in time, it will resolve as Done - Expired waiting for results
If a No Action Result message was unable to send because we could not contact the patient via mobile, it will resolve as Done - Unable to send SMN, after the set number of days.
Add direct booking link
This setting will be off by default.
When enabled, a Book Appointment button will appear within the message. This gives patients the option to book a follow up appointment via HotDoc.
The Pre-select appointment type for the patient drop down allows you to select the appointment type that you would like the patient book for follow ups.
Send HotDoc Recall Automatically
This setting is used to determine if HotDoc sends this template automatically.
If unchecked, the result will immediately pause when it is synced into the Dashboard and will need to be manually resumed instead.
For more information, please see: How to pause your Recall Templates
Show in the 'To Action' tab if SMN is unable to send
This setting is exclusive to the 'Results: No action' template. It allows you to remove No Action Results from your 'To action' to do list if the patient cannot be contacted via mobile. This setting will be on by default.
HotDoc may be unable to send an SMN for the following reasons:
- Patient has opted out of SMS communication
- Patient does not have a valid mobile number
- Patient is outside of your practice's age limit settings for receiving Recalls/Results messages. See: How can I stop Recalls from sending to an age group?
When enable: if the patient is unable to receive a No Action Results SMN, you will be alerted in the 'To action' tab.
When off: if the patient is unable to receive a No Action Results SMN, you will not be notified in the 'To action' tab.
Note: You won't be able to turn off this setting while Send HotDoc Recall automatically is also off. This is to ensure that you have visibility on No Action Results that are Paused. |

You can always find 'To action' results in the 'All' tab by filtering by the relevant status:
