Question
I want to temporarily disable the option for patients to request repeat prescriptions or referrals on our booking page (e.g. the clinic will be closed due to a holiday period).

There is two ways to temporarily disable the option for patients to request repeat prescriptions or referrals on our booking page.

How do I disable requests practice wide?

Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard and select Routine Requests > Settings.

Scroll down to the section titled Temporarily disable Routine Requests. Select the date range you'd like to disable requests for:

Lastly, click the Update Details button to save. Requests will automatically re-enable, after the period you've selected.

If you have not added a custom message, patients will see the following:
How do I disable requests per individual practitioner?

Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard and select Routine Requests > Practitioner Setup.

Find the practitioner you wish to disable and click on the pencil icon under the services column

Click Pause Routine Requests for this doctor

Select the date range the doctor will be paused for

Optionally, add a custom message that patients will see if they try to make a request with this doctor while they are paused

Click Save. The doctor will be paused for the selected date range and will automatically become available again once that period ends.
