How to make a booking for a patient
Please follow the steps below to make a booking on behalf of a patient using HotDoc:

- Head to https://www.hotdoc.com.au/ and log in as a patient with your supplied credentials:
- On the home page, use the search bar to search for the practice that the patient would like to book at. You can perform a search using the name of the practice, practitioner, or location:
- Select the appropriate practice/practitioner and see the next available times:

Confirm if the patient is a new or existing patient to the practice they're being booked at:
- Select the North Coast Health Connect Appt appointment reason:
- Select a time slot for the patient based upon their preference:

Enter the patient's First name, Last name and DOB. Optionally, you an also enter the patient’s gender, email, and mobile to receive communications, then select Continue:
- On the next page, enter a reason for the patient's visit in the text box:
- Review details and select Yes, book if correct:

A success screen will display with a booking reference code. Copy and paste this code into your patient system for recording purposes:
- Head to https://www.hotdoc.com.au/ and log in as a patient with your supplied credentials:
What happens next?
The GP clinic you booked the patient into will receive the appointment request and have this automatically entered into their appointment book.
If an email and mobile number were supplied, the patient receives

- A booking confirmation email with the appointment information, clinic information, and ability to save the appointment to the HotDoc app
- An SMS confirmation 24 hours before or immediately if the appointment is in less than 24 hours. The participating clinic sets the content of the SMS.
