Why didn't some fields transfer from the form to the patient file?

Question

The form in my HotDoc Sidebar suggests that there are some fields that need to be copy/pasted into the patient file. What does this mean?

Solution

HotDoc's New Patient Registration Form can automatically place some standard information directly into a patient's file such as name, mobile number and medicare details.

However, there are some fields that we are not able to write back to. For these fields, you are required to manually copy and paste this information into the patient file.

  • If you've added less common fields or custom questions to your form, you will likely need to manually copy and paste these fields into the patient file. 

  • If your clinic uses Best Practice Indigo or above, please note that we cannot write back any consent settings to Best Practice, only to the patients HotDoc consent settings. See Best Practice Premier Indigo SP1/Jade FAQs for more information.
