Why can't I link my Optomate appointment type to the HotDoc appointment type in the Dashboard? 

All appointment types in Optomate must have the 'Available for Online Appointments' checkbox ticked in order for them to be linked to a HotDoc appointment type. To do this:

  1. In the Optomate Setup section, click the green Appt Types tile 
  2. Click on the appointment type, then check the box 'Available for Online Appointments
  3. Click Save:

How do I make HotDoc online appointments in my appointment book appear as the associated appointment type colour in Optomate? 

You must link your Optomate appointment types to your HotDoc appointment types in the HotDoc Dashboard. Please see How to link or unlink an appointment type for how to do this.

Why can't I link my Optomate user to the HotDoc practitioner profile in the Dashboard? 

In order to sync users to HotDoc, please ensure the users Staff type is Optometrist or Dispenser, Include on Appointment Book is checked, and Inactive is unchecked. To do this:

  1. In the Optomate Setup section, click the green Users tile
  2. Click on the users name from the list

  3. Check the Staff Type is Optometrist of Dispenser 

  4. Check the box next to Include on Appointment Book:

Why are the practitioners sessions not appearing online?

Please check the following areas in Optomate to ensure we are syncing the practitioners schedules correctly. To do this:

  1. In the Optomate Setup section, click the green Users tile
  2. Click on the users name

  3. Click on the Appointments tab, and ensure the user has schedules set up and the checkbox is ticked next to each appropriate day:

  4. Next, check Change Schedules in the appointment book by going to the Optomate Patients section and click Appointments
  5. Click Change Schedules to confirm the schedule is not marked as inactive. If checked, we will remove this day's availability from appearing online:
