How do I set up Telehealth appointments in my practice management software?
Please view the relevant instructions on how to set up appointment types in your practice management software by using their support pages below:
Once you have done this, we recommend you link it to your HotDoc Telehealth Appointment Type. This means any HotDoc booked appointments will be clearly labelled as ‘Telehealth’ in your appointment book.
Can I set up Telehealth appointments for certain times or days only?
Yes! You can use our custom sessions feature which allows your practitioners to schedule telehealth appointments for specific times of the day. Please see How to set up a practitioner for Telehealth appointments on specific times or days?
Who will be eligible for the Medicare Telehealth rebate?
We recommend you check the Medicare Benefits news page for the latest information on available item codes during this period.
Can we turn Telehealth on for all practitioners at our practice?
Yes. You can enable this in the Bookings section of the Dashboard, either in the Appointment Types section or per practitioner in the Practitioner Setup section. Please see How to create and manage Telehealth appointments for more info on this.

Do I need to install software to support Video or Telehealth?
No. HotDoc Telehealth and Video is fully supported through HotDoc’s platform. The only requirements to enable video are an updated internet browser, camera and computer audio/mic on the doctor’s computer.
How secure is HotDoc Video Consultations?
