How can I hide a practitioner's Walk In availability?

Question

One of our practitioners will not be available to take Walk In bookings on a certain day. How do I hide or block their Walk In availability?

 

Solution

Walk In Practitioner Settings allows the practice to have a practitioner enabled for walk ins, but to also block specific times for Walk Ins within the practitioner's open sessions.

Please follow these steps to hide a practitioner's Walk In availability:

  1. Click Check in > Settings on the left-side menu of the Dashboard. On that page, click Walk Ins on the small menu on the top right-corner.

  2. To hide walk in availability from a patient booking via the Kiosk, scroll down to Practitioner Settings section and click the Set No Walk In Sessions option next to the name of the practitioner.

  3. From there, you will be shown a calendar of upcoming dates. Green sections indicate an active session that HotDoc is syncing from your practice's practitioner setup. You can then drag the selected times and click Hide Selection:

  4. If you wish to change the time, you can do so manually within this window. You can set the selection to be hidden on a recurring basis such as daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. A note can also be left as a reminder of the reason for the block.

  5. To remove the block, click back into the selected time then click 'Remove':
