If your practice uses the Check-in feature and you are utilising the HotDoc Kiosk device, you may want to also use this for walk-in appointments. This allows patients to walk in to the practice and book an appointment via the HotDoc Kiosk.
To turn on this feature, please follow the steps below:

How to activate walk-ins

Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard.

Select Check-in > Settings > Walk Ins:

Select the checkbox next to Active to turn walk-ins on, or unselect it to turn walk-ins off. Click the green Save button to save your settings:

How to select arrival location
This sets the location at which the walk-in will be entered into your practice management software. If this is left blank, the location associated with the practitioner selected by the patient will be used.

On the same page, select the intended branch or appointment book from the Select arrival location dropdown list. Click the green Save button:
