How do I search for an appointment reminder using the patient's name?

Solution

This article explains how you can use the patient search filter on the Future Reminders, Unsent Reminders and History pages within your Reminders section of the HotDoc Dashboard.

How to search for a patient's reminder that is queued to send in the future

HotDoc will show a queue of all appointment reminders that are upcoming. Follow the steps below to search for a patient to see if their reminder is in the queue:

  1. Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard and navigate into the left-hand menu to Reminders > Future Reminders:



  2. Use the Filter by Patient Name field to search for your chosen patient using their First Name or Surname (or both):



  3. This will filter the list for all upcoming appointment reminders that are in the queue for the chosen patient. 


How to search for a patient's sent reminder in the History

HotDoc will show a history of all appointment reminders that have been sent in the last 7 days. Follow the steps below to search for a patient in the list:

  1. Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard and navigate into the left-hand menu to Reminders > History:



  2. Use the Filter by Patient Name field to search for your chosen patient using their First Name or Surname (or both):



  3. This will filter the list for any appointment reminders that have been sent in the last 7 days for the chosen patient. 

How to search for a patient's unsent reminder

HotDoc will show a list of all appointment reminders that have not been sent and the reason. Follow the steps below to search for a patient to see the reason their reminder did not send:

  1. Log in to your HotDoc Dashboard and navigate into the left-hand menu to Reminders > Unsent Reminders:



  2. Use the Filter by Patient Name field to search for your chosen patient using their First Name or Surname (or both):

  3. This will filter the list for all unsent appointment reminders for the chosen patient and the reason the reminder did not send.
