I can't log in to the HotDoc Dashboard or Sidebar because I forgot my password. How do I reset this?
Solution
You can reset your HotDoc Dashboard or Sidebar password from the login page using the “Forgot your password?” link.

How to reset your Dashboard or Sidebar password
If you’re unable to log in and are receiving an error, we recommend resetting your password via the Dashboard login page – even if you believe your password is correct.

Open the Dashboard login page.

Select Forgot your password?

Enter the email address you use to log in to your HotDoc account and click Send reset link:

If the email address that you provided is an active account, you will be sent a link to reset your password. Click the link:

Enter your new password twice, ensuring it is not commonly used and contains at least:
- at least 1 uppercase letter
- at least 1 lowercase letter
- at least 1 number
- at least 1 special character

at least 12 letters
Then, click Save.

Enter your new password into the login page, and click Login.

FAQs
Why didn’t I receive the password reset email?

- Check your spam or junk folder
- Make sure the email address was entered correctly
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- If you still don’t receive it, the email may not be linked to an active HotDoc user account
Why isn't my reset link working?

- Your link may have expired – please go back to the Dashboard login page and click 'Forgot password' again to request a new one.
- If you have requested a reset link multiple times, make sure you’re using the link from the most recent email
I don’t know which email to use

If someone else from your team has access to the Dashboard, they can check the email address that's listed under Setup > User accounts
- If you don't know what email was used and no one from your team is able to access the Dashboard, please contact HotDoc Support for assistance.
I no longer have access to the email address I used to sign up with

If you can’t access the email linked to your user account, you won’t be able to reset your password.
This might happen if, for example:
- You’ve changed roles and no longer have access to your old email
- Your email account has been deactivated or deleted
- You’ve forgotten the login details for that email account and can’t recover it
In these cases, you’ll need to create a new user account using a current email address.
