Question
Why does my .CSV report say 'No Patient ID column found in the file' and will not upload?
Solution
If you're uploading a .CSV file using the 'Patient ID' upload method, it is mandatory that the practice management system ID column is included, or it will not process.
This should be present by default when exporting the file from your clinical software, but may have been removed in the process.
To add this in and ensure it's correct formatting, please follow these instructions:
- Open your CSV file on your computer, and ensure that the A1 box has the exact same wording as below depending on your Practice Management Software:
Best Practice (BP): INTERNALID
Medical Director (MD): PATIENT_ID
Zedmed (ZD):
FILE_NUMBER
- If the A1 box does not look like the image above, edit your report to include this using the exact wording above.
- Save your updated .CSV file, and upload this file again into HotDoc and this should work as expected (Use steps 1-6 in the article How to create a Broadcast SMS for assistance on uploading this).
Please ensure the wording in the practice management system ID column is to the exact, as shown above. If you are still having issues, double check the formatting and try again. To learn more about how to export a CSV from your clinical software, please visit the appropriate link below:
