Once you have set your Practitioners to be visible on your online booking page, you may want to control the order in which they are shown.
In the image below, Dr Ivor Cure is set to show at the top, followed by Dr Frederick Findacure then Dr HotDoc:
To control this display order, there are three display options that you can choose from:
- Alphabetically
- Automatically sort practitioners by how soon they are available
- Set a custom sort order for each practitioner
How to change your practitioner display order
- Sign into your Practice Dashboard and click on Bookings > Practitioner Setup then Sort Practitioners on Booking Page:
- On Display Priority page, you can choose which option you would prefer:
- Sort practitioners alphabetically: Selecting this option will set the display of your practitioners in alphabetical order
- Automatically sort practitioners by how soon they are available: Selecting this option will display your practitioners on your online booking in order of next availability
- Set a custom sort order for each practitioner: Selecting this option will show you a list of your practitioners whereby you can drag to sort their priority by clicking on the arrows next to the practitioner's name:
If choosing a 'Custom' order, you may find that this order can differ depending on whether the patient viewing your online booking page is logged into a HotDoc account or not.
- If the patient is not logged into a HotDoc account, the sort custom order that you have set in the Display Priority section will determine their order.
- If the patient is logged into a HotDoc account while viewing your online booking page, the doctors will be sorted as follows:
Before the patient chooses an Appointment Type
1. Favourited practitioners will be sorted to the top
2. All other practitioners sorted by custom order in DashboardAfter the patient chooses an Appointment Type
1. Favourited practitioners will be sorted to the top
