There may be occasions when you do not wish for HotDoc to communicate a recall message to a patient. This may be because you have already spoken to the patient directly ahead of HotDoc sending an SMS.
Because of this, we created the Mark as Done feature which allows you to stop the SMS sequence and leave a comment that is written back to the patient record.
Follow the steps below to learn how to mark a recall as done in the HotDoc Dashboard.
How to mark a Recall as done
- Navigate to the HotDoc Dashboard > Recalls > Clinical Reminder or Results (depending on the recall)> All. In the top right corner using the search bar type the patient's name to locate the recall.
- Click the patient's name to expand the Recall details. Type your desired comment in the field and select Save comment.
Please note: If you would like for this comment to be added to the patient file, you are able to do this by clicking the box Add comment to patient's file before you save. Select your practice software to see where the notes are entered: Medical Director, Best Practice or Zedmed. - To stop the sequence so HotDoc does not send any SMS to the patient, click Mark as done.
Please note: selecting Mark as done does not mark the recall as done in the patient's record in your clinical software. It only stops the HotDoc recall from sending. If you wish to mark the recall as notified, please do so in the patient's record directly.
