What does a patient see when they receive a Recalls notification?

Solution

The communication that a patient receives can differ based on which software you use. Please select the relevant tab below to follow the patient journey relevant to your practice's patients. 

Clinical Reminders

 


 

  1. Clinical Reminders messages can be sent to a patient either via Push Notification or SMN. T he patient will receive the message to their mobile device as pictured below:

  2. They will then need to tap the push notification or click on the link in the SMN, where they will be taken to a secure verification page. 

  3. To ensure HotDoc is delivering the message to the right person, the patient will need to complete a three-point identity check by entering their surname, mobile number and date of birth:

  4. Once the patient correctly enters their details, the message that you have created via the template will show. See the article here if you would like some assistance with changing the message the patient views after verifying their details:

  5. If you have chosen to add the direct booking link in any of your templates, the patient will be given the option to book from within the Recall message itself via the 'Book Appointment' button:

  6. If the patient does not tap on the push notification or click the link in the SMN and verify their details, HotDoc may continue to send SMN to the patient as per the template sequence:

Results

  1. Results messages can be sent to a patient either via Push Notification or SMN. T he patient will receive the message to their mobile device as pictured below:

  2. They will then need to tap the push notification or click on the link in the SMN, where they will be taken to a secure verification page. 

  3. To ensure HotDoc is delivering the message to the right person, the patient will need to complete a three-point identity check by entering their surname, mobile number and date of birth:

  4. Once the patient correctly enters their details, the results message will show:

  5. If you have chosen to add the direct booking link in any of your templates, the patient will be given the option to book from within the Recall message itself via the 'Book Appointment' button:

  6. If the patient does not tap the push notification click into their link and verify their details, HotDoc may continue to send SMN to the patient as per the template sequence

 


Recalls

  1. Recall messages can be sent to a patient either via Push Notification or SMN (Secure Message Notification). T he patient will receive the message to their mobile device as pictured below:

  2. They will then need to tap the push notification or click on the secure link in the SMN, where they will be taken to a page showing the template wording. 

  3. The patient will now see the wording from the associated template. See the article here if you would like some assistance with changing the message the patient views after clicking the link:

  4. If you have chosen to add the direct booking link in any of your templates, the patient will be given the option to book from within the Recall message itself via the 'Book Appointment' button:

  5. If the patient does not tap on the push notification or click the link in the SMN and verify their details, HotDoc may continue to send SMN to the patient as per the template sequence:
