Where are Recall notes entered into the patients file within Medical Director?

Last updated 23 December 2020 00:53

When HotDoc performs an automatic action such as sending out a Recall SMS, or if the patient performs an action such as reading the  Recall SMS, we will keep an audit of this action by writing back a note to the patient's clinical record.

Read below to learn where these notes are kept if you need to reference this audit.

Clinical Reminders/Recalls

In Medical Director, Clinical Reminders or 'Recalls' notes are entered here:

  1. Patient record > Recalls > Tick the 'Include completed and deleted recalls' checkbox > Click on individual recall > Recall actions

  2. Make sure the 'Include completed and deleted recalls' is ticked

  3.

The note should be written back to the history section of the Recall, located at the bottom of the recall page:

Please note: that HotDoc will now update the recall action 'Contact Attempt' to show "Yes" if a contact attempt has been made

Results

  1. To view notes written back for Results, go to the Patient File > Progress > Under Previous Visits:

  2. In the Patient File > Results  > Audit History of individual result:

NOTE: Any results notes that are manually entered into the HotDoc Dashboard will only appear in Audit History, not Previous Visits.
