When HotDoc performs an automatic action such as sending out a Recall SMS or push notification, or if the patient performs an action such as reading the Recall SMS/push notification, we will keep an audit of this action by writing back a note to the patient's clinical record.
Read below to learn where these notes are kept if you need to reference this audit.

In Medical Director, Clinical Reminders or 'Recalls' notes are entered here:
- Patient record > Recalls:
- Tick the Include completed and deleted recalls checkbox
Click on individual recall to see the notes. This should be written back to the history section of the Recall, located at the bottom of the recall page:
if a contact attempt has been made, you will see a Yes in the Contact Attempt column:
Please note: If a recall or result was sent to the patient via a push notification, this will be entered into the patient file as: SMN1 sent to patient via push notification
- To view notes written back for Results, go to the Patient File > Progress > Under Previous Visits:
Any results notes that are manually entered into the HotDoc Dashboard will only appear in Audit History, not Previous Visits. ⓘ NOTE
