When HotDoc performs an automatic action such as sending out a Recall SMS, or if the patient performs an action such as reading the Recall SMS, we will keep an audit of this action by writing back a note to the patient's clinical record.
Read below to learn where these notes are kept if you need to reference this audit.

Clinical Reminders/Recalls
In Medical Director, Clinical Reminders or 'Recalls' notes are entered here:
- Patient record > Recalls > Tick the 'Include completed and deleted recalls' checkbox > Click on individual recall > Recall actions
- Make sure the 'Include completed and deleted recalls' is ticked
-
The note should be written back to the history section of the Recall, located at the bottom of the recall page:
Please note: that HotDoc will now update the recall action 'Contact Attempt' to show "Yes" if a contact attempt has been made
Results
- To view notes written back for Results, go to the Patient File > Progress > Under Previous Visits:
- In the Patient File > Results > Audit History of individual result:
NOTE: Any results notes that are manually entered into the HotDoc Dashboard will only appear in Audit History, not Previous Visits.
