Patient Alerts

If you would like a patient flagged for manual confirmation, you can add an alert for them. Common reasons to flag a patient would be if they had failed to attend multiple times, have a bad debt, or perhaps they commonly book inappropriate appointments. This then overrides automatic settings, allowing only manual confirmation, where you can dismiss/reject if desired.

To add a patient alert follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the HotDoc Dashboard at using your HotDoc login.
  2. Click on the Bookings icon on the left of the screen: Screen_Shot_2017-03-22_at_9.59.41_am.png
  3. Click on the Patient Alerts icon: Screen_Shot_2017-03-22_at_10.00.00_am.png
  4. Click on the Add Alert button: Screen_Shot_2017-03-22_at_10.00.11_am.png
  5. Insert the patient's surname, DOB and the alert message that reception will read
  6. Click on ‘Save Changes’: Screen_Shot_2017-03-22_at_10.00.25_am.png
